On February 7th, 2020, Manchester High School hosted an all-day STEMfems program for 8th and 9th-grade girls. Thank you to all of our partners who led architectural, scientific and engineering experiential workshops for 75 of Manchester High School and Iling Middle School's students.

AECOM explored how an oil spill makes its way through the ground and into our drinking and ground water.
Crazy for Rockets
Ensign Bickford taught the girls what it takes to be an aerospace engineer by building their own rockets.
The Pollution Solution
Loureiro had the girls choose from a variety of pollutants to form industrial wastewater and then design and create a treatment system.
How Green Is Your School?
Using case studies of projects that Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects have worked on students applied those examples in reviewing what they have at their school.
Alka Seltzer Rocket
Pratt & Whitney had the girls experiment with varying amounts of Alka Seltzer in a film canister to hit a “planet” at a certain height to save the astronauts.
